The last few months have been filled with happiness for me. I celebrated Thanksgiving with my family, had a wonderful Christmas, and attended the most beautiful wedding ever - mine! I will have to devote an entire post to the wedding and reception - words can't express what a blessed and happy time it was for us and our families.
More on it later, but I have to share one little picture with you all...
Now, I've been busy making this house a little more homey. Valentine's Day is coming up, and let me just tell you, I am in love with this holiday. I loved it before I even had any reason to love it. It's just fun. It's fun to love and it's even fun to hate. So, what a perfect time to add a little love to our house. My sweet husband went fishing Saturday, and I was feeling a little crafty. So, I made some heart garland for our tv stand, some heart ornaments for our tree, and a few hanging hearts for our table. It sounds like a lot, but it was all done within one Lifetime movie.
First, I went to Hobby Lobby and picked up some different scrapbook paper in reds, bright pink, light pink, polka dots, some heart cookie cutters, and ribbon.
I traced all different sizes of hearts and cut them out...
For the garland...you're going to want to sit down before you read this, especially if you're my mom...I sewed the hearts together with a needle and white thread. Once I made the garland long enough, I hung it above the tv. (When you look at the picture, don't laugh at our tv...it looks extremely old in this picture, but it's really not that bad!)
Next, I hot glued some ribbon to these hearts to make some ornaments...
Finally, I hung some from our light above our table. You may also want to note the very cute runner I got at Pier 1 for the table, too.
Not the best picture, but you get the idea!
So, I hope your holidays were filled with as much happy as mine were, and keep the happy coming!
